Lessons from Torres Vedras for the Young Men of Britain: The Art of Intellectual Attrition

In 1810, the Duke of Wellington faced a numerically superior French force under Marshal Masséna. Rather than meeting them in a decisive, bloody pitch battle, Wellington retreated behind the Lines of Torres Vedras—a massive, sophisticated series of fortifications. He practiced a scorched-earth policy, leaving the French to starve in a wasteland while their supply lines stretched to the breaking point. Unable to breach the lines and unable to sustain themselves, the French were forced into a humiliating retreat.

For young men today forced into mandatory "anti-misogyny" or "sensitivity" workshops, there is a profound lesson here. You do not need to win a shouting match with an instructor who holds the "moral high ground" of the curriculum. Instead, you can construct your own Lines of Torres Vedras: a defensive perimeter of logic and inconvenient facts that draws the instructor into a paralyzing bog of argument. By forcing them to defend their own contradictions, you stretch their intellectual supply lines until the program collapses under its own weight.

Here are the primary points of contention—the defensive redoubts—you can use to drag an instructor into an unwinnable battle.

1.     1. The Survival Paradox (The Ukraine Gambit)

When the instructor speaks of systemic "male privilege" or the "patriarchy" as a system designed solely for male benefit, raise the issue of state-mandated sacrifice.

  • The Point: Point out that in modern conflicts like the war in Ukraine, the state explicitly drafts men (aged 18-60) and forbids them from leaving the country, while women are permitted to seek safety abroad.
  • The Hook: Ask why Western governments and institutions—which the instructor likely supports—unquestioningly endorse a policy that treats male lives as disposable assets and female lives as inherently worthier of protection. This forces the instructor to either defend gender-based discrimination or admit that "privilege" is a deeply flawed metric.

 2. The Reciprocity of Objectification

If the instructor warns against the "male gaze" or the objectification of women in media and pornography, pivot to the reality of social and sexual selection.

  • The Point: Argue that objectification is not a one-way street. While men may focus on physical attributes, women routinely objectify men through "success objects": height, social status, and income.
  • The Hook: Use data from dating apps to show that a vast majority of women filter out men based on rigid physical requirements (like the "6-foot rule") or financial brackets. Ask the instructor why a man’s desire for a specific aesthetic is "misogyny", while a woman’s requirement for a man’s height or bank balance is "empowerment" or "standards".

 3. The Intersectional Minefield

When the instructor attempts to link misogyny to broader "intersectional" issues like racism, introduce data that disrupts their unified front of victimhood.

  • The Point (Preference): Note the statistical reality of dating preferences; for example, white American women are statistically the least likely group to date black men compared to other demographics.
  • The Point (Homophobia): Raise the documented sociological challenges regarding homophobia within specific minority communities, such as the high rates of social conservatism and anti-LGBTQ sentiment often cited in studies of black female demographics.
  • The Hook: By introducing these frictions, you force the instructor to navigate a "hierarchy of grievances". They cannot condemn one group without appearing to marginalize another. This creates an intellectual stalemate where their generalities about "oppression" fail to account for the specific biases held by the groups they claim to defend.

Conclusion: The Collapse of the Program

The goal of these methods is not to "convince" the instructor; they are often too ideologically committed to change. The goal is attrition.

By constantly steering the conversation toward these "Lines of Torres Vedras", you ensure the instructor can make no headway. They will spend the entire session chasing their own contradictions, attempting to bridge the gap between their theory and these uncomfortable realities. Like the French facing Wellington, they will find the environment increasingly hostile and their resources (time and authority) depleted. Eventually, the program will be seen for what it is: an unstable structure that cannot survive the weight of its own hypocrisy.

The Duke of Wellington: A Master Strategist

Books Banned by Amazon

Unhappily, I am writing to report that Amazon has banned my books 'Hope on Distant Shores' and 'Incelerando' as containing 'unacceptable content' and promoting 'hate speech'. These revolutionary works designed to direct Anglo-American men towards more fulfilling relationships beyond the misandrist Anglosphere will no longer be available for purchase on Amazon.

As the whole world now knows, the UK is swiftly degenerating into a misandrist and gynocentric dictatorship. Everything that I have warned the world about over the past two decades is coming to pass. As proof of this, the UK government has just made 'anti-misogyny' classes compulsory in all UK schools:

Teachers will be given training to spot and tackle misogyny in the classroom, while high-risk pupils could be sent on behavioural courses as part of the government's long-awaited strategy to halve violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the next decade.

The plans for schools in England - which focus on preventing the radicalisation of young men - have been unveiled as part of a wider strategy which had been delayed three times. Teachers will get specialist training around issues such as consent and the dangers of sharing intimate images.

Responding to the announcement, the domestic abuse commissioner for England and Wales, Dame Nicole Jacobs, said the commitments did "not go far enough".

She said while the strategy recognised the scale of the challenge, the level of investment "falls seriously short".

The £20m package will also see teachers get training around how to identify positive role models (White and Blue Knight shills - RK), and how to challenge unhealthy myths about women and relationships (such as the self-evident female weaponisation of sex against Anglo-American men across the Anglosphere - RK).

It will include a new helpline for teenagers to get support for concerns about abuse in their own relationships. The government hopes that by tackling the early roots of misogyny, it will prevent young men from becoming violent abusers.

Under the new plans, schools will send high-risk students to get extra care and support, including behavioural courses to tackle their prejudice against women and girls (indoctrination in discredited White and Blue Knight shill narratives).

In 2019, I predicted that mass male sexlessness and social instability would become key features of life in the 2020s. I also predicted that the MSM would lose control of the hegemonic narrative and that the Black and Crimson Pills would become mainstream perspectives for all self-aware Anglo-American men. Now that these things have come to pass, the Anglo-American authorities are militating all their power to suppress male dissent in brutal and coercive ways. North American readers must expect the same gynocentric coercion to be directed against them in the next few years, despite their traditional freedoms of speech and assembly.

In the midst of its misandrist backlash, the UK government is seemingly gearing up to draft its despised young men into the meat grinder of a new Russian Front:

British families must be prepared to send their sons and daughters to war against Russia (he really means sons - RK), the head of the military has warned. In a stark message, Chief of the Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton said 'more people' needed to be ready to take up arms to protect the country.

He explained that although the chances of a direct Russian attack on UK soil remain remote, that 'does not mean the chances are zero'.

Sir Richard called for schools to encourage children to take up jobs in the arms industry and said more British families will 'know what sacrifice for our nation means'.

His comments come just days after Mark Rutte, secretary general of the NATO alliance, predicted that Europe is Vladimir Putin's next target. Mr Rutte urged NATO states, such as Britain, to switch to a 'wartime mindset' and warned too many countries are 'quietly complacent'.

Meanwhile, armed forces minister Al Carns said the country was on a 'war footing' and warned that the 'shadow of war was at Europe's door'.

And there we have it: a nation which has spent most of recent history vilifying young men with malignant, gynocentric puritanism now wants them to defend and even die for it! Odd how feminist 'gender is a social construct' commentators rapidly change their tune when it suits them, is it not? You could not make it up...

Amidst these dark portents, I can at least report that this blog is now approaching two million hits: something I never envisaged, when I started writing in 2008. Because it was the blog that awakened men across the Anglosphere needed and wanted, it has only gone from strength to strength.

Navigating the Misandrist Landscape: A New Path for the Anglobitch Blog

In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, particularly within the United Kingdom, discussions surrounding various social and political movements are continually subject to scrutiny and interpretation. For platforms dedicated to specific advocacy, such as those focusing on men's rights, it has become increasingly pertinent to consider the legal and social framework within which these discussions take place. This blog, in its commitment to fostering thoughtful discourse, is announcing an updated editorial approach.

It has become evident that the current legal environment in the UK introduces considerable risks when engaging in certain forms of public commentary, particularly concerning gender dynamics. Legislation pertaining to hate speech and online harassment is robust, and enforcement can lead to significant consequences for individuals and platforms perceived to cross established boundaries. While the principle of free speech remains a cornerstone of democratic societies, its practical application is often nuanced, with various interpretations and limitations in practice. This necessitates a careful calibration of content to ensure compliance with legal stipulations and to avoid unintended repercussions.

Recognizing these complexities, and with a steadfast commitment to responsible commentary, this blog will henceforth implement a revised content policy. A core tenet of this new approach will be the rigorous avoidance of any content that could be construed as misogynistic. Our objective is to contribute constructively to conversations surrounding men's issues, and this cannot be achieved through language or sentiments that demean, generalize negatively about, or express hostility towards women. Such expressions are counterproductive to meaningful dialogue and have no place on this platform.

Moving forward, our focus will pivot towards purely abstract or theoretical discussions concerning gender and culture. This will involve exploring academic concepts, sociological theories, historical perspectives, and philosophical inquiries related to masculinity, male identity, societal roles, and the broader cultural implications of gender. We aim to delve into these subjects with intellectual rigor, inviting readers to consider complex ideas from a dispassionate and analytical standpoint. This approach will allow us to examine critical aspects of men's lives and their position within contemporary society without resorting to confrontational rhetoric or polarizing generalizations. Our commitment is to scholarship and thoughtful exploration, ensuring that our contributions remain within the bounds of respectful and legally compliant public discourse.
